About Kamakura One Inc.
Kamakura One Inc. is a startup launched operation in the Philippines in 2026. Our mission is to support the back-office operations of our clients — primarily Japanese companies operating in the Philippines — through outsourced accounting and compliance services. We are committed to being a reliable partner that grows alongside our clients’ businesses, guided by the following core principles:
- Always think from the client’s perspective and pursue an exceptional customer experience
- Stay humble, keep learning, and continuously raise the quality of our services
- Drive productivity and quality through streamlined systems and processes
If you’re excited about working at a Philippine-based startup, if our vision resonates with you, and if you’re hungry for a high-growth environment — we’d love to hear from you.
Why Work With Us
1. Grow with a Japan x Philippine startup from the ground up
Kamakura One Inc. was incorporated in the Philippines in 2026. We have virtually no track record or name recognition yet — and that’s exactly the point. As an early member of a startup that is just beginning to grow, you’ll gain rare, hands-on experience that few roles can offer. There is no shortage of challenges: building a client base, hiring and developing talent, crafting a business plan, and establishing operational workflows from scratch. The difficulty of these challenges is precisely what makes the growth opportunity so significant.
2. Find real meaning in supporting your clients
Our work puts us right alongside our clients in their day-to-day operations. That means understanding their business deeply, identifying their pain points, and working with them to solve problems through ongoing communication. Because we work so closely with clients, you’ll frequently see the tangible results of your efforts and hear direct words of appreciation. At the same time, when our service falls short, that feedback will come directly to you as well — and we believe that kind of accountability is what drives genuine improvement.
3. Develop broad business skills across the entire company
As an early-stage startup, we don’t have the luxury of dividing responsibilities into narrow specializations. You’ll work closely with President Takuya Ando across a wide range of functions — from client accounting and compliance to sales, back-office administration, and beyond. Rather than becoming an expert in one slice of a business, you’ll gain a full-picture view of how a company operates, which is one of the most valuable experiences you can have early in a career.
4. Master productivity through cutting-edge digital tools
We run lean and aim to deliver maximum output with a small team. That means we invest heavily in digital tools across every aspect of our operations: bookkeeping, tax filing, expense management, attendance tracking, payroll, project management, billing, contracts, data sharing — all systematized and digitized. We also actively apply generative AI to automate routine tasks, brainstorm new ideas, and accelerate research and documentation. These capabilities are a genuine competitive advantage for us, and working in this environment will sharpen your own digital fluency significantly.
5. Build practical accounting, tax, and advisory skills
The accounting work we do is practical and client-facing — it requires not just technical knowledge but the ability to explain, advise, and solve problems. You’ll need to develop a solid command of Philippine tax regulations, BIR compliance, and relevant corporate law, and apply that knowledge directly in client engagements. It’s a demanding environment, but one that accelerates professional growth in ways that a standard in-house finance role rarely does.
5. Work in a cross-cultural environment with a Japanese director
Day-to-day operations will be led by Filipino team members, working in close collaboration with Japanese President Takuya Ando. This is an excellent environment to strengthen your cross-cultural communication skills, gain exposure to Japanese business culture, and broaden your professional perspective in an international setting.
